Cryoconite Holes

Cryoconite holes are tiny water-filled depression on glacier surface. They are suitable habitat for the glacier organisms.

Cryoconite holes on the surface of Yala glacier

Many frozen cryoconite holes were found under 30 cm of snow on glacier surface. In winter, cryoconite holes were complitelt frozen.
