Fall distribution and diversity of cetaceans along the southern and eastern coasts of Hokkaido, Japan

北海道南部・西武沿岸で鯨類の分布と分布に影響する海洋環境を調べた．ハクジラ類7種，ヒゲクジラ類5種の発見がみられた．太平洋岸では襟裳岬の東西の水温の違いを反映して，東西で分布が異なっていた．根室海峡内では南北の海底地形の違いを反映して，南北で分布が異なっていた．
The distribution of cetaceans along the Hokkaido coast and the marine environment affecting the distribution of each species were investigated. Five baleen and seven toothed whales showed a heterogeneous distribution. In the North Pacific, distribution differed from east to west, likely influenced by sea surface temperature. In the Nemuro Strait, the distribution differed from north to south, likely influenced by seafloor topography.
