Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellow
I am an elephant biologist interested in understanding how physiological alterations change the fitness and survival of mega-herbivores such as elephants. To attain this understanding, I have extensively studied the stress physiology of wild Asian elephants in the forests of India. Currently, as a JSPS Postdoc, I will be collaborating with Dr. Kodzue Kinoshita to develop a technique to assess the physiological histories of captive Asian elephants.
